WMF Perfection 890L Fully Automatic Coffee Machine

I've had this machine for about six months now. It makes good coffee and milk froth. The temperature is a bit too low for me. Settings T1, 2, 3... which one is the highest? You won't find that in the instruction manual. It takes a very long time from switching it on until the coffee is ready. A simple caffè crema takes about 2.5 minutes, including the rinsing cycle. Cleaning the drawer is very time-consuming due to the many edges, corners, and grooves. They are so narrow that even with a brush, you can barely achieve a decent result. Air drying leaves water spots, or you have to use a cotton swab to clean the corners and edges... The grid under the spout already has coffee stains that can't be removed with regular dish soap. The machine itself also has several grooves that are far too narrow and can only be cleaned with tools like a wooden spoon. My husband wouldn't buy this machine again; I'm about 60% no and 40% yes. ... I like things to be practical, and this machine doesn't deliver. Cleaning the spout is easy, as is cleaning the milk inlet, although the machine constantly prompts you to clean it, even if you've just done it... So, now enjoy your coffee. Rosi

Refusal to accept delivery. My Perfection 880, about 4 years old, stopped working after the requested cleaning on Saturday, December 20th. Since I didn't want to be without a fully automatic coffee machine over Christmas, I ordered an 890 L from the shop. On Monday, I called "customer service." After a long wait on the phone, I finally got through to the "advisor." When I asked if anything could be done, I received an annoyed reply: it's almost Christmas, they're selling, not repairing, and besides, it's not worth it for such an old thing; it should be disposed of. There's no point in sending it in; it will be sent back immediately, and the postage will be charged. Then he simply hung up. I immediately refused delivery online with DHL. Merry Christmas! I already received a machine made in Germany on Tuesday morning.

The build quality is good, and the design is appealing. Operation is intuitive. However, for €2,000, the following points are absolutely unacceptable and do not do justice to the WMF brand: - The milk hose must be removed every time the grounds container is emptied. - If the cleaning cycle is not confirmed and the brewed coffee is left to stand, it will eventually start on its own, rendering the coffee undrinkable. - Even the highest brewing temperature setting only produces lukewarm cappuccino and latte macchiato.

Set it up, tried it out, and thoroughly enjoyed the coffee!! A very nice and, above all, quiet machine.

Great machine, excellent advice in the store, I bought two machines right away. One for us and one for my best friend and his family.

The coffee tastes great, it's really hot (and not lukewarm like with other machines) - you can adjust it yourself. Absolutely fantastic.

A really nice machine, practical and stylish, and the LED is also a nice touch.
