Experiences with the WMF 890
I'm really very happy with the machine and can wholeheartedly recommend it. I'd especially like to highlight the excellent design – the machine looks and feels very high-quality, which was actually a major reason for my purchase. Not only am I completely convinced by the taste of the drinks, but also by the overall build quality and ease of cleaning. With my previous fully automatic coffee machine from another brand, I frequently had problems with the drip tray, and cleaning it was also considerably more complicated. That's why I consciously decided to invest in quality this time – and I absolutely don't regret the cost. I do have one minor criticism, though: When I want to clean the drip tray, or rather the area where the water collects, I'm a little concerned that the plastic clips might break over time, as they're simply pushed in. I would have preferred a more robust solution here. Aside from that, however, I'm completely thrilled with the machine and can recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

Yes, we've had our fully automatic coffee machine for a week now, and all four of us in the household are absolutely thrilled. We've already used it over 60 times and are extremely satisfied. Hopefully, it stays that way.

We deliberately chose the WMF Perfection 890 because we trust the WMF brand and its generally excellent quality, and were prepared to spend more money for a high-quality appliance. It was all the more disappointing, therefore, that the machine required repairs three times within just a year and a half. We are glad that we have now received a new machine – but only after we specifically requested one. We sincerely hope that this appliance is not a defective unit and offers the quality we have come to expect from WMF.

I don't know if I would buy it again.
The machine boasts attractive materials; the plastic drip tray is very smooth and easy to clean, were it not for the sharp edges of the supports. Unfortunately, the machine broke down after exactly one year and has now been at Trepesch for repair for almost three weeks. Very poor service for a premium product, as advertised.

Complete disappointment; machine had an electronics fault from the start; weeks of repairs without success.
After two months, the error message "Insert drip tray" appeared, even though it was already in place. This rendered the machine unusable. Initially, we received a new drip tray, but this didn't solve the problem. Then the machine was repaired for five weeks. After one week, the same error message reappeared, rendering the machine unusable once again! We had to send it in again, and now we're four weeks without a machine. The repair service is extremely poor, as they use external repair companies. The hotline only offered helplessness and a lack of responsibility. With a one-year warranty, the machine has now been in transit for nine weeks for repair, with no end in sight.
