Similar to the general opinion, it leaks and the base breaks when you try to screw it shut.

The plastic breaks and the base leaks.
What a shame about such a nice and practical device! After eleven months, it leaked through the seal, then the plastic screw cap broke. Not recommended!

Leaking
The blender works well, except when everything leaks out the bottom. This happens about 80% of the time I use it. What a shame. And now I've missed the warranty period to make a claim... :-(

After the warranty expired, the device went up in smoke.
After the warranty expired (2 years, 8 months), the motor stopped working. It seems to be the same problem as with the Kult Pro mixer. Nothing will be repaired or replaced, and opening the device without special tools is impossible. Given the reviews of these products, I'd rather not use the 30% discount voucher for another mixer. WMF really needs to improve their mixers. Or at least offer better customer service for known issues.

Leaking
Used once, unfortunately it leaked at the bottom. The next day I reassembled everything and tightened it as much as possible. I filled it with water and it leaked completely. It wasn't even just a few drops. I'm returning it today. The one star is for the design. Otherwise, it's a real flop.

Contrary to the bad reviews here, I have to say that this thing does a great job. Smoothies, etc., work perfectly with it. You just have to screw the parts together properly so it doesn't leak. If you can't manage that, it's your own fault. Unfortunately, one of the screws broke; I hope replacement parts are available.

Leaking and screw cap broken
We've also had the screw cap break twice already. It's also difficult to screw the glass container and blades together tightly enough to create a leak-proof seal. It leaked repeatedly. I really can't recommend it. It's a shame, because we're so thrilled with our large WMF mixer and only wanted a smaller, additional appliance for making smaller quantities.

After a very short time: Black plastic screw cap broke (knife holder)
After a short time, the black plastic clasp that holds the blade and sealing ring to the glass container simply broke, and I had a mess in the kitchen because when I lifted the full container, the entire contents, including the blade and clasp, fell out. I shudder to think what would have happened during use. In my opinion, it's a clear design flaw, as this plastic clasp has six indentations, presumably for a better grip. At these six points, the plastic clasp is thinned from about 5 mm to about 2 mm. And it was precisely at one of these indentations that the plastic clasp broke – a clean, straight break. I will be returning this appliance to the WMF store. I absolutely cannot recommend this product.

Sealing ring broken
Hello, I ordered a new glass carafe specifically because I thought that was the reason the liquid was leaking. Unfortunately not, the problem persists even with the new carafe. I'm quite annoyed; basically, the barely used blender is now ready for the trash.
