Beautiful design, lid broken
Beautiful design, however, the lid broke after the warranty expired. They couldn't supply us with a replacement part. We still wanted to order this kettle again, but after reading other reviews, it seems we weren't the only ones who had this problem.

Broken again!
The kettle looks really great, and when it works, I'm very happy. Unfortunately, the replacement is now broken too!

Looks good on the outside, but it's a mess on the inside.
The kettle is appealing due to the reduced number of stainless steel contact points with the water, quiet heating, and a reasonable 3kW heating power. However, the components are of such poor quality that this is the third unit in use within three months. A defective lid, waiting time for the warranty claim process, only to receive a replacement anyway... a defective main switch, more waiting time... a third unit... an unbelievable test of patience. The €29 Clatronic kettle will probably last 20 years...

Horrible sounds when it's ready
It's a beautiful kettle, I really like the design, managing buttons can be improved, can be intuitive but it's ok. But it makes loud beeping signals when the water is ready, and it continues, it does not stop until I come and press the off button. It's super annoying! Wakes up all the house! Unfortunately, I have to return it just because of that

Glass kettle from WMF
Initially, we were delighted with the beautiful glass kettle. However, this joy ended immediately after the warranty expired (two years, far too short for such an expensive appliance). The switch stopped working, and we also experienced unpleasant electric shocks. WMF offered no further goodwill gesture (it used to be different, and their products were more durable). It's a shame, as it makes you reconsider whether you would ever buy WMF again.

Glass bulb shattered after 2 years without any external influence
Until today, I was very satisfied with the kettle. I have very hard water here. The kettle was easy and clean. It never leaked and didn't develop any leaks at the glass-to-metal joints. The heated water tasted good. This morning, however, the glass body shattered for no apparent reason. Purchased in December 2014, the warranty should have expired in February 2017. Two years is far too short a lifespan for such an expensive kettle.

excellent design and function but very disappointing to find out that the plastic components are the weak point...after a while the small plastic holder of the lid was broken and not possible to close the lid anymore.

Quality is when the customer comes back, not the product! … after 3/4 of a year, the (cheap) plastic handle at the bottom broke off… just like that… the main switch is stuck… the thing is unusable… now I have to throw it away… for a recommended retail price of €119.99
