The plastic insert is defective.
The plastic insert is defective. The sieve base blew out during pressing. The problem seems to be known, which is why the plastic insert is also offered as an accessory for €8.95. Furthermore, the mixture squeezes out the sides.

The insert is a bit difficult to remove. Hopefully, it will hold up in the long run.

Style & function good
The spaetzle press looks good and is easy to use. The volume is slightly smaller than my old one.

scrap
Utter junk, compressed twice and then the bottom broke. One star is still too much.

Let's see
Removing the insert is a bit awkward, as is inserting it. I wish the tabs were more visible and clicked into place more easily. Otherwise, I'll give it another try.

Good
The potato ricer is very good and, thanks to the removable insert, also easy to clean. Perhaps other inserts could offer even more versatility in its use.
