Scratched knives, cake servers
Nine out of twelve knives had scratches, as did the cake server. I am very disappointed with Cromargan Protect.

Good purchase decision
Buying the Merit cutlery was a great decision. We spent a lot of time in the WMF store looking at the different models, holding them in our hands, comparing them, and ultimately settled on the Merit. It has a timeless beauty, feels great in the hand, and has just the right weight. The other models are also lovely, each with its own advantages, but for us, the Merit is simply the best fit. And: The service at the WMF outlet store in Metzingen was fantastic!

Really satisfied
I waited several years before buying this cutlery set. I've liked it for a long time, but the price put me off. Now I've finally decided and bought it, and I don't regret it at all. It's fantastic. It feels great in your hand, and I'm always delighted when I open the drawer.

Unfortunately, the quality has declined.
We've been using Merit cutlery since we received it as a wedding gift from relatives a few years ago. To ensure we have enough cutlery for guests, we bought another set this year (end of 2023). Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent upon first use that the new knives aren't as comfortable to handle and the blades are considerably more flexible than those of our old knives. A closer look reveals the reason: the new knife blades are noticeably thinner than those of our old knives. Clearly, they tried to cut corners on material. What a shame :-(

Beautifully designed cutlery
We've been using this cutlery for over 10 years now. It feels great in the hand and the knives are still sharp. The fact that a few small scratches have appeared over time, despite the protective coating, doesn't detract from the cutlery's beauty or functionality. We would definitely buy it again. Many thanks to WMF for the excellent quality.

Classic, high-quality design but poor quality
I bought this cutlery set for approximately €500 from the WMF online shop in March 2022. After the first few washes (dishwasher, normal cycle, no rusty metals in the dishwasher, high-quality tablets...), some rust spots unfortunately appeared. The knives also have some scratches on the blades. Customer service simply told me I was washing the cutlery incorrectly, but couldn't offer any suggestions on how to improve the situation, as I follow all the advice. The scratches on the knife blades were completely ignored. I was offered a special cleaning agent to polish the cutlery after washing, but it never arrived. This is unacceptable for cutlery that costs almost €1000. The customer service is beyond disappointing.
