Perfect
I've had this egg cooker for over a year now, and the WMF quality hasn't disappointed me. It's flawless; the eggs are cooked perfectly, just the way I like them. Ideal if you only ever want a soft-boiled egg. I highly recommend it.

I've been absolutely thrilled with it for the past six months. I've found the perfect setting for me and made a mark on the small plastic measuring cup. That way I always cook a perfect egg.

A functional and aesthetically pleasing device for work. Water dosing requires precision and isn't always successful. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied.

Works perfectly, just one tear...
...the measuring cup. This thing is extremely tiring to use. Color-coded and clearly visible markings would have been much appreciated. Okay, after several eggs that are too hard or too soft, you get the hang of the dosage and mark it with a permanent marker. The signal, as many have complained, works perfectly, and is easily audible as long as, for example, the music isn't too loud. I would buy it again!

Super egg cooker
First, a word to everyone using the device incorrectly!!!! They're saying the egg doesn't fit, lol. Of course not, the "bowl" is the egg cup. Got it?!! Then it won't fit, the lid won't close, and the egg will either be cold or it will take forever because the small amount of water has to heat the egg cup first. So just put the egg in WITHOUT the cup. This way, the distance to the water is close, the egg can be cooked perfectly, and now even XL eggs fit.

Egg cooker?
The reviews so far are so inconsistent that you'd think there were two different single-egg cookers! I did the math: Bringing just one 60g egg to 80°C theoretically takes 5 minutes with a heating element of 56W. This doesn't even take into account the heat transfer into the egg or the heat loss through the lid. So, in practice, it takes about 20 minutes. During that time, the appliance has already beeped 4 or 5 times. This single-egg cooker just isn't all it's cracked up to be! I received it as a gift, and I'll use it, gradually working my way up to the correct cooking time with a kitchen timer and a bit of patience. A reputable company like WMF should really test these small appliances extensively under real-world conditions in the future. What they've managed to achieve deserves a 4 out of 5.

Not suitable for impatient people, those sensitive to heat, the hard of hearing, or those with a practical bent.
Why doesn't WMF address these criticisms? They are: 1. The device is too hot to touch after cooking an egg. 2. The power cord can't be stored and is always in the way. 3. The beep after cooking is almost inaudible. 4. The switch has a barely perceptible indicator light. 5. The amount of water in the egg piercer is difficult to control. Despite all this, I'm still working my way towards the perfect egg.
