Poor eggs!!!
I agree with the previous reviewers; this egg slicer is a flawed design that crushes and mangles eggs. The wires are supposed to cut, but they don't because they're blunt. Any cheap slicer is far superior. The price-performance ratio is, to put it mildly, outrageous.

An absolute catastrophe.
bought the "Gourmet Egg Slicer" for Easter. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! Unfortunately, I only just saw the reviews on the website. Why a high-end brand like WMF can't manage to make an egg slicer that works for standard Easter eggs is completely beyond me. I've now switched to an egg slicer from IKEA (€5). It's ugly and doesn't look as high-quality, but at least it slices eggs... So, mission accomplished. I'm beyond disappointed and won't be buying anything from WMF again anytime soon!

Hands off!
The name is misleading. This is two products in one: an egg crusher combined with an egg slicer. Absolutely unsuitable for serving eggs attractively!

Function and appearance good, durability poor
The egg slicer looks fantastic and functions perfectly, but only for two years. Although used relatively infrequently and certainly not overstressed, the cutting wire broke while slicing mushrooms.

No go!
This egg slicer is a disgrace for WMF! It's incredibly frustrating! After only two years and a maximum of 30 eggs, the WMF egg slicer is broken. Two wires have snapped off. Is the quality of other WMF products also this poor? This question must be asked!

It squeezes, it doesn't cut.
Unfortunately, the egg slicer doesn't slice the eggs, it crushes them. The crushing process causes the egg to deteriorate, leaving either a slice or causing it to burst completely due to the pressure.
