can only echo the previous negative reviews! This mill is unsuitable as a salt mill and not worth the money! After a short time, it can no longer be filled as intended because the square section gets stuck with salt and cannot be removed. The mill can then only be laboriously filled from the top after removing the grinding mechanism. The first mill was replaced under warranty. The same problem occurred with the new mill after a while! Now the motor is also broken! So, never again will I buy spice mills from WMF. I would give it zero stars if I could!

My pepper mill is from 2012. (It was) quite expensive back then, around €79. After two years, the grinding mechanism broke and was replaced under warranty. It worked perfectly after that. Now the plastic container is broken. It no longer locks into place because the locking tabs have snapped off. When I asked at the specialty store, they told me there's no replacement part available. So, it's basically garbage since the mill won't stay together. I'll just buy one of those at Aldi for €9.90.

The salt mill stopped working nine months after purchase with normal household use. It then continues to run for several minutes while idle. Refilling it is also very difficult, as the square shaft always gets stuck. For this price, I would have expected better quality from WMF.

We bought two WMF tilting mills two years ago and had problems with one of them after only a short time. The grinding mechanism broke; it initially turned slowly and later stopped completely. Unfortunately, we didn't keep the receipt, and despite numerous emails, WMF has left us high and dry. This is very disappointing, especially since the packaging advertises a 10-year warranty on the grinding mechanism, and the problem is known according to other reviews. We will never buy anything from WMF again!

Obviously, I was very lucky, because my tilting pepper mill has been working perfectly for four years now. I love this mill.

We received these mills as a Christmas present two years ago and were delighted. Unfortunately, our joy didn't last long, at least not with the salt mill. After only the second filling with salt, it could no longer be refilled as described in the instructions. We had to remove the millstone every time to refill it because the square shaft wouldn't detach from the motor. After about a year, the motor stopped working altogether. When we exchanged it at the WMF shop, the recipient was told that such a thing had never happened before (perhaps they should read this and the WMF website) and that we simply hadn't taken proper care of the mill. Nevertheless, we received a new mill as a goodwill gesture. Now another year has passed, and we've been extra careful. But the end result is the same. We're back to refilling it via the grinding mechanism. We'll see how much longer the motor lasts. It's already struggling to grind properly. Watching WMF's promotional video on Amazon, where I quote: "We focus on people's needs...", reading the reviews, and having your own experience, you can't help but feel a little cheated... The pepper mill, by the way, still works perfectly, and we're very happy with it. Other users have described how the ground pepper collects at the top of the mill and then spills out uncontrollably the next time you use it. We had the same problem until we stopped using the mills as illustrated in the instructions. Now we simply turn the mills so the short end is at the bottom (rotated 180° around the mill's axis). While you can no longer dispense the pepper precisely, nothing falls back, and there's no risk of overdosing the next time you use it. The star deduction is for the frustration with the salt mill. In summary: + Great design + Well suited for pepper - Dispersing mechanism not good (works reasonably well with a 180° turn) - High battery consumption - Not suitable for salt (unfortunately, only the grinding mechanism is corrosion-free, not the connection between the square shaft and the motor) - Too expensive for this quality (for salt)

Three years ago, I bought an electric tilting mill set, salt and pepper mills, directly from WMF. The pepper mill still works well, but the salt mill broke after two years. The entire battery compartment, including the batteries themselves, was damaged by salt corrosion. I approached a saleswoman at the WMF shop in the Auhof Center about the problem. She said, "That can sometimes happen; unfortunately, there's no warranty for that." I'm very disappointed, as these products are certainly not a bargain! Therefore, no stars at all!!! (This isn't possible with the system, so one star appears.)

I've had this for over two years now and it still works perfectly.
