The "weak point" that has already been described several times...
1.) This device would be a wonderful kitchen tool – as has been mentioned here many times – ... 2.) if the cutting insert weren't made of plastic, thus limiting the lifespan of this rather expensive utensil to one or at most two years! 3.) Particularly disappointing: Among the 173 accessories and spare parts currently available, there is nothing for this garlic cutter! Conclusion: A disposable product! What a shame.

Beautiful to look at
Unfortunately, I have to agree with the other ladies. The plastic part under the blade has cracked. Why can't they make the whole thing out of stainless steel? After all, the cutter is quite expensive. I wouldn't recommend buying it!

Garlic slicer
The idea isn't bad, but unfortunately, it doesn't last long. We received the garlic slicer as a gift and use it regularly. The first time it broke, customer service replaced it without any fuss, but now it's broken again, and they're refusing to offer any goodwill gesture because we don't have a receipt. I find this very disappointing, as I expect it to last longer for the price. So, anyone thinking of buying it, don't. You won't get much use out of it.

Great device, unfortunately only lasts a short time.
I can only agree with the other opinions; I've already had to return this item to WMF twice, as it broke both times within a year (despite only ever using one toe at a time), precisely at the weak point that's already been described (the plastic around the cutting grid broke). I also don't understand why, since the entire device is made of Cromargan stainless steel, there's plastic in there at this price, and why they can't make this part out of stainless steel as well... I've tried it twice now, and that's it... It's a real shame, I actually thought it was a fantastic product.

WMF Garlic Slicer
This garlic slicer is the best invention ever. It doesn't crush the cloves, but cuts them into super small cubes. And without leaving your hands smelling unpleasant afterwards.
