A complete misstep!!!
am extremely disappointed with this appliance! I expected better from WMF; even the cheapest products work better than this vegetable slicer! It's simply impossible to slice cucumbers thinly; it's incredibly tedious. As soon as you adjust the screw at the front below 2 mm, you no longer get whole slices, but only "half" slices, which also taper to a wedge shape (i.e., not thin, parallel slices). Furthermore, the blade clogs constantly, and you have to clean the slicer... making it a nearly endless task to prepare a cucumber salad. This product is a complete design failure!

An unusable vegetable slicer
The best part: the blades are sharp (at least for the first three attempts at slicing) and the slicer itself is solid and comfortable to hold. Unfortunately, even inserting the cutting attachment becomes a gamble – eventually, it suddenly finds itself in the right position. The single adjustment screw has to perform two functions – holding the blade in place and setting the cutting thickness. However, after no more than three uses, the plate slips out of its holder, and the gamble starts all over again (after you've managed to pry the sliced product out of the screw). I wanted to cut potatoes into thin sticks – after 15 minutes of frustration, I went back to using a knife. I'm going to return it now – I didn't expect such a poor-quality device from WMF, especially at this high price.
