The idea is good.
But the food holder needs to be redesigned. The distance to the blade is so great that two and a half centimeters of the chopped food remain. Sharpening the metal prongs would probably be a good idea too.

Excellent advice
was looking for something to slice cucumbers thinly for cucumber salad. I went to Lorey in Frankfurt and was ignored by the staff. After half an hour, I left the store and went to the WMF shop at Hauptwache. There, I was immediately asked if I needed help. I described what I was looking for, and they showed me exactly what I needed.

The only positive thing about this slicer is its weight. What are my complaints? When slicing cucumbers, the slices shoot forward and don't land in the bowl, and they also tend to stick to the underside of the slicer. The black inserts aren't made of a material that allows them to glide smoothly. I'm also bothered that the inserts don't have a fixed locking mechanism – I don't want to constantly have to turn the screw to find my desired thickness. Slicing carrots and using the fine-slicing insert is very difficult. The storage box for the inserts is just a cheap, warped piece of plastic – it's very annoying to slide the inserts in.

Very sharp
bit pricey for all the plastic, but the blade is very sharp. The stepless adjustment works well, and the whole device feels high-quality. Be careful when inserting the plastic trays, as the V-blade is very sharp. I wash by hand and not in the dishwasher, and I would recommend doing the same.
