No professional planing results
I bought the "professional cheese slicer" because our other one doesn't like the dishwasher (wooden handle), but it does what it's supposed to: slice cheese. The WMF "professional" slicer doesn't like the dishwasher, but it doesn't like its job. The results are patchy and far from what I expected from a professional product. This is all the more disappointing because my expectations of the manufacturer left no doubt that the price was justified. In this case, I've had to revise my expectations. We'll continue slicing without the "WMF professional" and wash by hand. But the slicing results are professional-grade. Sometimes you can't have everything. P.S.: Unfortunately, the website doesn't allow for a "zero-star" rating.

Miserable
This cheese slicer was clearly intended for soft cheeses. After barely two years of infrequent use, the blade broke off at the handle. Definitely the worst cheese slicer I've ever owned. And probably the most expensive. I'm only giving it one star because you can't submit a review without one. I'll buy my next cheese slicer at the Swedish furniture store.

Is the PROFI PLUS cheese slicer indestructible?
The cheese slicer, supposedly indestructible! It only lasted until the third use, then the blade broke off the handle.... Not recommended.

Lasts a maximum of 2 years.
My second cheese slicer broke yesterday; the previous one lasted two years. The next one also lasted about two years. Both broke in the same place. I wonder why this cheese slicer is advertised as "Professional Plus" and "indestructible." As long as the cheese slicer isn't broken, it's fine.

Highly recommended!
A great product. Very sturdy and produces even slices of cheese, from hard Raclette to softer Gouda. However, very soft cheeses (e.g., Geheimratskäse) stick too much!
