Unfortunately, it's long-lasting ;o)
I would have loved to treat myself to a new knife. But that will probably never happen. My top-of-the-line Plus chef's knife, bought in 1998, is practically indestructible. A quick sharpening now and then keeps it as sharp as the day I bought it. It is and will remain a fantastic knife with superb steel! I suppose I'll have to pass it down to my children.

My son gave me this chef's knife for Christmas. I'm absolutely thrilled with it. It's very well balanced, extremely sharp, and feels great in the hand – cooking with it is a real pleasure. It's now my seventh knife from this collection, which pretty much says it all. While these knives aren't exactly a bargain, I think the price is completely justified. With proper care, they'll last forever. And definitely don't put them in the dishwasher – that would be blasphemy!
