With the new pot, it's very easy to boil your milk without having to tediously pour water into a small column and then not being able to get it all out later.

You can tell it's high quality. I'm thrilled.

I wouldn't want to be without my double boiler anymore. Carbonara always turns out perfectly thanks to the temperature gauge, and puddings are creamier too, since you don't have to worry about them sticking to the bottom of the pot. It's incredibly easy to use: you simply add half a liter of water to fill it, and the lid is nice and light, so you can serve the cooked food effortlessly.

Both pots nested inside each other, especially when filled, are quite heavy—unnecessarily heavy in my opinion. There's no recess for a second hand, so you have to move them with just one. The handle could have been made lighter and more easily storable. If that's already inconvenient, it gets even more ridiculous when you try to lift the inner pot, filled with milk, out of the water pot and set it down. You'll only try it once, because the heavy handle makes the inner pot unbalanced, causing it to tip over. Everything would spill out. So you always have to lift the heavy inner pot as well to work with the contents. While the inner pot does have a smooth bottom, the weight between the pot and the handle isn't balanced, so the inner pot can't stand upright on its own. This also makes washing up difficult. As a layperson, I could have found a better solution; this is far from a high-end product. The only thing high-end about it is the price. The scale on the thermometer is so small that you need a magnifying glass to read it. A lens-shaped glass would have made it much easier to read, but this one only has plain window glass. Furthermore, you have to remember to remove it before pouring anything because it's not secured and would simply slide out while pouring. All in all: I wouldn't buy this pot again.

This isn't meant to be a review of the pot yet. I'd like to buy it, but why is the "Made in Germany" imprint missing from the bottom of the pot? Other pots have this inscription. Is it perhaps a product from the Far East, or why has WMF omitted this quality seal? There are plenty of one-star reviews with pictures on Amazon. It would be nice if WMF would comment on this. As a potential buyer, I'm extremely uncertain.
