Lono waffle iron
I bought it just a few weeks ago and am very satisfied so far. Easy to use and clean.

Poor quality
We had two of these waffle irons. Unfortunately, the bottom handle broke off both of them within a very short time (just under 2.5 years). It broke in the same place on both. Presumably a material defect. I wouldn't have expected something like this from a WMF product. Our previous waffle iron from a discount store lasted us over 10 years.

waffle iron
Good product. The lid is intentionally wobbly to allow for individual adjustment of the amount of dough. The appliance doesn't get hot on the outside. Easy to clean.

WMF Loni waffle iron
Works great, waffles don't stick to the waffle iron. Easy to clean. Flaw: After about two years, the stand fell apart.

Standard waffle iron with low durability
Unfortunately, over time the plastic handle became porous, so that after about three years the lower handle broke off.

Difficult to clean
I've had the waffle iron for about two weeks. Unfortunately, there's a roughly 2 mm wide gap all the way around the outside between the beautiful chrome and the coated inner insert. Overflowing batter collects in this gap and can only be painstakingly removed with a small stick, if at all! This could easily be solved with a removable overflow ring or something similar. Or at least with a measuring scoop included to minimize overflow. Neither is included.
