I'm happy with the appliance. It makes delicious, creamy smoothies. The container is leakproof. There's nothing to complain about.

Repair impossible
I gave this appliance as a birthday present. Unfortunately, the cable got scorched on the hot stovetop. No problem, I thought, being an electrician. Wrong. Three Phillips head screws and one other screw of an unknown type. The appliance can't be opened. Either throw it away or send it to WMF for a hefty sum. You guys really nailed this.

Works perfectly
We have had it for a few months now and we are still very happy with it. After reading other reviews I have one top tip: when screwing the blades on the bottle; tighten it good!!! Seems logical. We love it!!!

Blade lid is stuck in the base.
Same problem. When removing the bottle from its base, the bottle becomes unscrewed and the blade lid is stuck in the base.

Badly designed: bottle gets unscrewed during removal
Whenever I try to remove the bottle from its base the bottle gets unscrewed and the contents are spilled on the base and all over…!…:-( Maybe the whole design of (un-)screwing should be towads the opposite way, so that undesirable unscrewing be avoided when one tries to remove the bottle from its base

We've had this item for about 4 years and we think it's great; it's easy to use and super easy to clean.

Great device, I was extremely satisfied....
...until I tried to get replacement blades. Even along with the lid and seal. But as many others have already written here, you might as well just buy a new device where you can buy the individual parts separately. I guess that's what I'll do now and throw away all this stuff I've grown quite fond of.
