This can't be happening!!!!
A normal egg won't fit in there. The lid doesn't close. How could anyone design something like that?!

Pointless
This device is completely useless because a normal egg doesn't even fit. The lid doesn't close, water leaks out the side. It beeps, and the egg is still cold. What kind of engineers do they have at WMF???????

very disappointing
The egg is either hard-boiled or runny, despite great effort to measure it correctly – which is almost only possible under very good lighting conditions and with the help of a pipette. A real shame, I was pleased that there was an egg cooker for just one egg.

Almost perfect product
The single-egg cooker is almost perfect for a one-person household. It's been in use for about a week now. Every egg, whether soft or hard-boiled, is cooked exactly as it should be. A subtle yet clearly audible whistle signals when the egg is cooked. The only downside is that the scale on the water measuring cup is difficult to read. A colored scale would be necessary. Therefore, only 4 stars.

Waste of time
This device is intended more for single people, and like me, I'm older. You only hear the high-pitched beeping if you stand very close to it for about 10 minutes – for a soft-boiled egg. I've already hard-boiled several soft-boiled eggs this way because you can't hear the beep. I'm going back to the old method of boiling them in water for 3 minutes and will either give the device away or store it somewhere and forget about it. My heirs will wonder what kind of strange toys the old man had when they clear out his apartment. The measuring cup is useless. The markings are unreadable.

How could this thing have been approved? With the second egg, the casing gets so hot you can't touch it. It doesn't switch off. I don't expect junk from China from a company with a name like WMF. Shame on you. Never again WMF. You've lost a customer forever.

My Egg 1-Egg Cooker - 2 stars are enough
The appliance looks perfect, and a test egg is just finished. What I didn't like so much: 1. The measuring cup for the water level is barely readable. 2. The LED indicator light for the on/off switch is very dim. 3. The buzzer that sounds when cooking is complete was inaudible. My solution: I'll make my own measuring cup and use an egg timer to gradually adjust the cooking time to find my ideal egg.

A huge disappointment
The My Egg is ideal for a single person, but the one I received from the retailer only seems to cook eggs in two ways: hard-boiled or completely runny. There's no middle ground, even when measuring the water precisely with the measuring cup. In my opinion, the My Egg is not recommended... :-(

quite practical, though
It fits well in my kitchen and works as it should! Two points of criticism: The signal tone indicating successful cooking is too high-pitched and too quiet; for seniors like myself, it's difficult to hear with background noise. The measuring cup for the cooking process is hard to read. I bought a 5ml disposable syringe from the pharmacy for this purpose. Now my medium-sized breakfast egg is guaranteed to be perfectly cooked with just 3.3ml of water straight from the fridge!
