The ice cubes can be easily pushed out from the bottom. The lid prevents excess water from accumulating in the compartment.

Good system, but the quality is unusable!
The system is well-designed and obviously works. It's a shame that the lid clips broke off one after the other after only a short time. Unworthy of WMF!

The lid on the container is excellent – nothing spills over. The ice cubes aren't quite so easy to get out; perhaps I'll get the hang of it.

Ingenious ice cube maker
Finally: Fill it with water, clip it shut, and toss it in the freezer – without having to worry about it standing upright. This is what I've been waiting for. It's so great that I gently rinse it with cold water before clipping it shut when it's frozen, because I like to think the mechanism will last longer that way than if you repeatedly open and close it at -20°C. Ejecting the ice cubes with the blue knobs works perfectly, too. I think this container is a must-have. :-)

Simple and practical
Of all the ice cube trays I've tried, this is the best. The size of the ice cubes is also ideal, and removing individual cubes is very convenient. However, pushing out individual cubes requires considerable force. Therefore, only 4 stars.
