Unfortunately, my wife bought the carafe in the store, so we didn't read the negative reviews beforehand. After only a few uses, the bottom cracked. I can only hope I didn't ingest any small glass shards. I even thought to myself, "This must be a really high-quality glass, because the metal fruit skewer rattles on the bottom when pouring and setting it down again." No, it's not a high-quality glass at all! Second point of criticism: The lid is a complete design flaw. The rubber and the metal insert aren't properly connected. Sometimes, when putting the lid on, the metal insert slides upwards. It's hard to describe, but it's incredibly fiddly. In short: For the price, WMF has delivered an absolute and potentially life-threatening (glass shards) disgrace.

I've always admired handleless carafes because they look so elegant. Unfortunately, they're not suitable for hot drinks. Then I saw this beautiful carafe with a handle in the WMF store, and it even has a 1.5L capacity. Exactly the right size I was looking for for work. I bought it right away! At work, I boiled some water, poured the boiling water into the carafe, and added three tea bags. It works perfectly. My colleagues are all envious of this beautiful piece. It works exactly as you'd want it to. After 4-5 hours, the tea is still pleasantly warm. And there's absolutely no dripping when pouring! The stopper is ingenious. Of course, the glass of the carafe is quite thin. But I've been using it for weeks now. I'm taking care of it like it's my own eye. Rinsing and cleaning it is very easy thanks to the generous opening. I've already bought a second carafe as a gift! I will probably buy a third one for home so that I can enjoy my 1.5L of tea not only at work.

It's very pretty in itself, but the base is very thin. The ball keeps falling off for some reason, and unfortunately, it broke the second time I used it. So annoying for this price! The carafe was only used four times for special occasions... I'm so frustrated. Best, Helene

The internet is full of customer reviews describing how easily the carafe breaks. Unfortunately, I only read these reviews after I had already bought two carafes. One of them broke after just three weeks. The glass isn't available for purchase separately, and despite the numerous customer complaints, WMF doesn't seem to be improving the product quality.
