Here too, after only very brief use, the plastic ring broke. Just as poor quality as other mini models. They may look nice in a small kitchen, but they should also be functional.

I like that the blender has a glass jar and it is not too big. The downside is that it smells like burnt plastic, when used even under 1 minute. It's new, but I think the smell on plastic keeps me from using it. I think you are paying for the look and glass jar, but the motor or belt inside are not the best.

Unfortunately, we've already had to buy two replacement sealing rings for the 0.8L glass container in three years. The plastic ring at the bottom of the glass container keeps cracking... The device itself is otherwise great. Compact, just right for our needs.

Compact blender, ideal for single households

My device, like everyone else's, broke down at the rubber gears. I disassembled it to see if it could be repaired. The rubber gears are a simple wear part, and my intuition told me they should be replaceable. You don't throw away a car when the tires are worn out, do you? While attempting the repair, I got the impression that this device was intentionally designed to be unrepairable. The screws are unusual, and there's a very, very, very thin slot on the shaft that could be used to secure the shaft and unscrew the rubber gear. If the device had been designed to be repairable, there would have been an Allen/Allen key socket in that spot. When I inquired whether the gears were available as spare parts, WMF simply didn't respond. These gears are dirt cheap. I ended up removing them using destructive methods. After a long search, I found replacement gears with left-hand threads on AliExpress. With a two-month delivery time. For me, this device is an absolute disgrace. We're currently having a societal discussion about sustainability, and here we're supposed to throw away an electrical appliance because an obvious and replaceable part breaks after some use. In my opinion, replacement gears should be included and easily reorderable. Stay away from this appliance and this manufacturer.

I have the same problem as everyone else here: I cleaned it, reassembled it, and the plastic part broke. While searching for a replacement part, I ended up here and discovered there isn't one. This was my last WMF appliance. The one star is for its stylish appearance.

This is not what sustainability looks like. The rubber drive wears out, replacement blades cost €19.99. No repair, only device exchange. 30% discount on a new device. According to customer service, this wear and tear is very rare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can see from the reviews.

It's actually a good appliance for a small household, ideal for smoothies, etc. Unfortunately, after three years of occasional use, the plastic ring on the glass container cracked. There's no replacement available, so the appliance has to be thrown away. This shouldn't happen with a brand-name product that's only used occasionally, and it's certainly not sustainable.
