In my opinion, the waffle iron is of good quality, bakes waffles without any problems, and nothing sticks to the coating. I highly recommend it. Since I've only been using it for a short time, I can't yet comment on its long-term durability.

I bought the WMF waffle iron because I've been very impressed with other WMF products. And as always, I wasn't disappointed! It heats up super fast, stays cool to the touch on the outside, and is incredibly quick and easy to use. Thanks to the excellent coating, the waffles don't stick at all, and even after multiple uses, the waffle iron still looks brand new. I highly recommend it!

Warning about this waffle iron. It makes very good waffles. BUT: The fourth waffle iron has broken in the same place again – at the joint between the lid and the base. WMF is doing nothing. Customer service is very unfriendly.

Plastic base broke after almost two years and light use
This thing makes waffles, and it does them well. But that's about it, and as expected. We received it as a Christmas present in 2022 and used it for waffles at Christmas and a few more times. This year, however, we got a nasty surprise. The waffle iron was stored in its original box, which was pristine. Upon unpacking it, pieces of the plastic base fell out, and it wouldn't make any waffles – the thing was unusable. We bought it on December 13, 2022, at MediaMarkt – no warranty. A short but firm call to WMF confirmed that there was nothing they could do and no replacement parts were available. We bought WMF, not least because we believed in its quality; that was a mistake! It seems a no-name brand could have done the same job. What's completely unacceptable, though, is that the waffle iron is irreparable because a plastic part, which costs pennies rather than euros, isn't available as a replacement. So, best to steer clear; that's it for us with WMF.
