The lid becomes cloudy in the dishwasher.
The design of the container is very nice. However, the lid is unfortunately not dishwasher safe. I've already had to buy a replacement twice. It's a shame there isn't a dishwasher-safe alternative.

What became of WMF?
The butter dish is a disappointment. It's very small, and when I buy new butter, the lid doesn't fit. The lid is plastic; I would have preferred glass, and the base is extremely flimsy. I regret throwing away the packaging, as I can no longer return this butter dish. I'll give it away and buy a better quality one.

This is our third Wagenfeld butter dish. Simply beautiful. Just don't put the lid in the dishwasher.

Very good product.
My butter dish with the original lid has been in use for 50 years. It's neither unsightly nor are there any scratches on the lid. A very good product.

A good and practical butter dish
Satisfaction only comes with everyday use. In this case, it's exactly right, and I'm very satisfied.
