Far too much pressure is needed
I'm very disappointed – I can barely grate the required amount with my hands. I'd really like to return them. A complete waste of money!

Never again
The nutmeg mill looks great. However, its function is very poor. It grinds too coarsely, and if you press too hard, the nutmeg breaks and you have to throw it away. Even if it does last until the end, the wastage is too great (either you waste it or you have to get out your old grater). I don't think that's what the inventor intended.

Advantages and disadvantages ....
Only very light pressure should be applied to prevent the nut from crumbling; this will produce fine shavings. Unfortunately, the nut is no longer held securely after about half to two-thirds of the way through, requiring another nut to be placed on top to hold the one below and prevent it from spinning. Larger pieces always remain at the end of each nut; those who dislike these in their food will experience significant waste. In short: a brand new nut provides a delicate seasoning – perfect for guests :-), while the larger pieces can be added to your own meal.

Impractical
Unfortunately, this mill only works moderately well. The nut cannot be completely used up, and therefore its function is limited.
