WMF Perfection 890L Fully Automatic Coffee Machine

We already own a fully automatic coffee machine from another brand and wanted to replace it with a seemingly better one. The WMF 890L appeared to be the perfect replacement for our existing machine. I really like the design and build quality of the machine. It makes a very high-quality impression and enhances any kitchen. I also personally really like the ambient lighting. The WMF 890L is quite large and very heavy, taking up almost twice as much space as other machines. The WMF coffee machine can prepare 18 different beverage specialties, so everyone should be able to find their favorite. These include, for example, café au lait, cappuccino, latte macchiato, frothed milk, black tea, coffee, and much more. You can create up to 16 user profiles to save your favorite drinks. The setup is very easy and straightforward thanks to the step-by-step on-screen instructions. We tried several different specialties and, unfortunately, weren't completely impressed. The milk drinks are unfortunately lukewarm, so if you want to enjoy a leisurely latte, you should be quick… Furthermore, the milk foam isn't very high. Our old machine does a much better job. For almost €2000, I expect more. Another point of criticism is that you can only select M, L, or XL for a latte, for example. There's no way to adjust the milk quantity (how many ml). This is a real shame, as other machines in a lower price range do this much better. The milk system is quite good, but the bulky part on the hose is a bit annoying; we always use a cup for the milk without the metal hose. In my opinion, this could be improved. Since we prefer latte macchiato or cappuccino, this unfortunately isn't the right machine for us, as the functions for these drinks could be expanded.

We've been using the WMF fully automatic coffee machine for a few days now. We drink a lot of coffee; my husband prefers it classic, and I like it with milk. The design looks very elegant and high-quality. The workmanship seems very sturdy and robust. A highlight and real eye-catcher is the LED lighting, which can be adjusted to different brightness levels. We're also very happy with the many options for individual settings, such as coffee strength, temperature, and drink size. The touchscreen works instantly and always without any delay, which is to be expected in this price range. My favorite drink is the latte macchiato, which turns out perfectly! My husband has fallen in love with the breakfast coffee. So far, we're very satisfied and wouldn't want to be without it!

Here I'm reporting on my experience with the WMF Perfection 890L fully automatic coffee machine. The machine's elegant matte black design is exceptionally sophisticated. The build quality is absolutely top-notch, as one would expect from WMF. All relevant settings can be adjusted via the large touchscreen. These include water volume, coffee/bean quantity, grind size, water temperature, and the amount of milk froth, to name just a few. Understandably, the WMF stainless steel grinder isn't completely silent, but it operates in a subdued and quiet manner, unlike anything I've experienced before. This means you can easily have a normal and pleasant conversation even while standing next to the machine preparing your drinks. The touchscreen provides all the necessary information, such as when to refill the coffee beans (250g capacity), when the grounds container needs emptying (it even gives you a notification five drinks in advance), and when the 2L water tank needs refilling. Since the WMF Perfection 890L allows you to access the water tank, coffee grounds container, and drip tray from the front, everything is quick and easy. No more awkward reaching behind the machine or spilling water. The aroma and taste of the coffee specialties are barista quality. So far, everyone who's had the chance to taste it has been impressed. Of course, you can also have hot water prepared – specifically for black (90°C), white (80°C), and green tea (70°C). The milk froth... it's a dream. Not only is the milk and froth significantly hotter than with other machines – undoubtedly due to the WMF Perfection's innovative milk system – but the consistency of the froth is also much creamier and it lasts longer than I've ever experienced before (using the same milk). I'm absolutely thrilled with the latte macchiato and cappuccino. Thanks to the self-cleaning programs for both the brewing unit and the milk system, cleaning the WMF Perfection is a breeze. What can I say – my conclusion is entirely positive. Sure, the WMF Perfection 890L comes with a hefty price tag. But for anyone who values the finest coffee experience at a true barista level and an elegant eye-catcher in their kitchen, this machine is perfect.

spent a long time considering and researching which fully automatic coffee machine was right for me. In the end, I chose the WMF 890 and haven't regretted it for a minute. The coffee is nice and hot, the drinks are delicious, and the machine is super fast, quiet, and very easy to clean. I would choose this machine again in a heartbeat and can wholeheartedly recommend it. It's definitely on the pricier side, but you get a lot for your money.

Hello, after deciding on a WMF coffee machine, we were naturally eagerly awaiting delivery. Initially, the status was always "processing," but after a phone call, the machine was successfully delivered the next day. Unfortunately, coffee drinks with a high milk content are relatively cold. The milk foam and "hot" milk are also so cold you can easily drink them in one gulp. The drip tray is unfortunately very cheaply made, so you're afraid of breaking the top cover when cleaning it. After finding a drink with less milk, I wanted to order a hose and milk frother. But it seems these aren't available for purchase separately. So, if you only drink coffee or drinks with very little milk, I can definitely recommend this machine.

This machine has it all – a stunning design with its black stainless steel housing and ambient lighting, extremely simple and customizable operation, a wide variety of recipes, and last but not least, fantastic breakfast coffee. A worthy flagship product from the WMF Perfection series and a new family member every morning :-)
