There are more sustainable ways to do this!
chose the Lono Milk & Choc milk frother because I was looking for a robust, durable product. Unfortunately, the whisk broke off and, regrettably, isn't available separately, only as part of the cage and wand. It costs around €20 plus shipping. This is hardly sustainable! Sadly, I read on the WMF website that this isn't an isolated incident: https://www.wmf.com/de/wmf-lono-milchaufschaeumer-milk-choc.html It's barely been in use for a week and then this happens – it's really unfortunate. I'm not sure it's a good idea to continually disappoint customers and would be happy if WMF could produce more durable milk frothers for which replacement parts, especially the ones that are frequently needed, are readily available. The customer service representative isn't to blame; the problem lies with the management, who seem to have lost touch with their customers. ☹️

Completely satisfied!
It does what it's supposed to, and does it excellently, using our pasteurized organic whole milk.

Absolutely top-notch
The milk frother creates perfect milk foam for cappuccino, latte macchiato, and heavenly hot chocolate. Easy to use and easy to clean. Simply superb and suitable for all types of milk.

Good foam, quiet, easy to clean, but the whisk broke quickly. Replacement was straightforward.
The frothing is fantastic! The foam quality is great, all parts are easy to clean, and it's quiet and simple to use. Unfortunately, after only 6 months, the whisk broke (the cage holding the whisk kept falling apart). Communication with customer service was easy and friendly, and we were immediately sent a free replacement whisk. Five stars for that! Thank you!

Types of milk
It's basically well-designed; there's nothing to criticize there. However, it's completely unsuitable for oat milk; not only the WMF model, but any electric milk frother will fail to produce foam from oat milk.

Unfortunately, there has been no response from customer service.
Like the previous reviewer, the frother on my Lono milk frother has fallen apart. Despite contacting customer service twice, I haven't received any response. I'll probably have to buy a new one and hope that other manufacturers are more customer-friendly and their products last longer!

Milk frother broken - customer service is ignoring me.
The most important part, the frother, keeps falling apart, so it no longer froths anything. I've had no response to two attempts to contact customer service. I was always very happy with the appliance until now, and when my kids melted the lid on the stove, I received a replacement promptly. But now I'm very disappointed because I can no longer use the appliance and WMF is ignoring me.

Much better than its predecessor.
The frother can prepare enough hot milk/foam for two large cups at once; the foam consistency is perfect, nothing burns, nothing overflows, and all parts that come into contact with milk are dishwasher safe. It also runs quietly. Previously, we had an Aeroccino, which also produced good milk foam, but only for one cup. It was difficult to clean, milk often burned on it, and the non-stick coating wore out after a few weeks.

Addendum to my review - I am completely satisfied with WMF customer service.
I'm thrilled with WMF customer service! Very friendly and knowledgeable. Lightning-fast response. Free return shipping, they even offered free pickup. Quick processing. Perfect! Now I can finally join the conversation when people are sharing horror stories about various hotlines and service centers. And I have a prime example to back it up. Thanks again! Now the machine works perfectly and produces fantastic milk foam. Perfect temperature at 70°C, consistency just as it should be: creamy, flowing, and not too stiff. And yet, almost all the milk is transformed into foam.

I'm disappointed. The milk burns. The machine runs unevenly – loud rattling.
am very disappointed with this milk frother, especially considering the price. I have several complaints. I use chilled UHT milk with 1.5% fat in the "hot milk foam" setting. Of course, I follow the minimum and maximum milk quantity guidelines. The device is practically brand new. The milk burns on four opposite sides of the jug every time I use it. The burnt areas are dark brown, and I always have to painstakingly and thoroughly remove them. If even small residues remain, the milk burns on very badly the next time I use it, and removing the blackened residue becomes a real test of patience. The device is also very loud. In my opinion, the loud rattling noises don't come from the integrated fan, but from the rotating stirring wheel. This wheel, which is supposed to be self-centering and float, is clearly not running smoothly. Due to an imbalance or a poorly centered magnetic drive, it begins to wobble and oscillate, which is certainly not intended. This rattling starts immediately upon starting the program and usually only stops shortly before the program ends. Apparently, the stiffening foam shortly before the end of preparation dampens this oscillation, and only then does the whisk rotate correctly. The appliance is placed on a perfectly horizontal surface. Even slightly tilting the appliance does not achieve smooth rotation. The jug overflows almost every time it is used. Even when milk is only filled to the minimum mark, some foam leaks (squirts) out of the spout opening, which is not covered by the lid seal, shortly before the end of the program. In my opinion, this is related to the uneven rotation described above. Because of the faulty rotation of the disc, too much air is incorporated, and the foam becomes very coarse. The volume of the jug is then insufficient. The foam then runs down the outside of the jug and collects mostly in the plastic cup of the induction base. However, some also runs down the outside of the base onto my countertop. This has already tripped the residual current device (RCD) in my apartment twice. And that's another point of criticism. In my opinion, a device that works with liquids should be better electrically insulated. The amount of foam that ran down the outside of the base—through the rear openings of the fan and thus partially into the interior of the base—was very small. Nevertheless, the main fuse tripped. If the milk from the plastic cup were to get inside through the opening of the switch built into it, which detects the presence of the jug, that would be extremely negligent. The final point of criticism concerns the quality of the foam. While the foam is pleasantly hot, the consistency is terrible. The milk is still two-thirds liquid—yet the jug always overflows. And the foam is far too coarse and collapses quickly. I have been very satisfied with all my WMF products so far. However, this one is completely unusable.
