FRYING PAN WMF DURADO 28CM

I bought the pan on sale and received an additional 10% discount for registering as a new customer. Therefore, the price-performance ratio is excellent. I've had it for a few weeks now and am very satisfied. Highly recommended!

The pan is very solidly and sturdily made and feels very high-quality. The coating lives up to its promises; basically, no oil or fat is needed anymore. The pan heats up very quickly, and I no longer have to fry on setting 7 out of 9; setting 5 out of 9 works perfectly fine now. I would buy it again anytime.

I'm certain I never overheated this pan, never put it in the dishwasher, only used wooden spatulas and never forks or anything similar, and always cleaned it carefully by hand. Despite all this, the coating only lasted about six or seven months. After that, pancakes (!) burned so badly that you can't get the pan properly clean anymore—at least not without a steel wool pad, which would probably ruin the rest of the coating. I can only warn you against it. And all for that price!

The WMF name used to stand for quality. Unfortunately, those days are over. The non-stick coating is completely useless! I've barely used the pan, and even though the coating is still perfectly intact, i.e., not scratched, food sticks so badly that the bottom of the pan is impossible to clean. Even soaking it overnight doesn't help because food burns on despite low temperatures. I've had better experiences with every no-name, cheap pan from, say, Ikea. Customer service rejected my complaint because I didn't keep the receipt, and they claimed they couldn't trace when the pan was manufactured. The fact that they refuse to be liable for any longer than the statutory warranty period shows that they are aware of the poor quality and that the costs of handling complaints would otherwise be too high for WMF. Instead, they offered me a 30% discount voucher for a new purchase—I'm laughing my head off. The pan is going in the trash, and WMF is history for me. What a shame, another traditional German brand gone.

Today I received the frying pan I ordered online. Immediately after unpacking it, I was disappointed: the coating has noticeable irregularities in several places, as if there were lumps in the coating during production. I can't use the pan because the spatula sticks in these spots. Why wasn't this caught during final inspection? I'm disappointed. I'm also annoyed that there was no return label included in the package.

Great coating, nothing sticks to it, easy to clean. Completely satisfied!
