Milk temperature problem
I purchased this item through Amazon DE and unfortunately the unit has some problems. If I pour cold milk from the refrigerator into the jug and try to prepare any hot beverage (milk foam, hot milk or chocolate) the red power led and white cold milk foam led starts blinking and the unit stops. If you wait for 30-40 minutes, for the milk to reach ambient temperature you can start preparing your hot beverage. This behavior is not documented in the manual, not even on the error/troubleshooting page. In fact is conflicting with the manual and purpose of this appliance. Anyway, Amazon accepted to replace the unit with a new one (hopefully functional one).

Milk causes weight gain. A definite no-go!!!
Unfortunately, I have to agree with other reviews. Great design, good features. However: 1. Milk sticks to the surface, and despite cleaning, brown, deeply burnt-on stains remain that are extremely difficult to remove. 2. The milk program is lukewarm at best, but nothing more. Far too little for the high price!

It foams and foams and foams
I've been using the milk frother several times a day for about six months now, and it almost always produces perfect, firm foam. The "almost" depends on the milk used; the more natural the milk, the less firm the foam. This isn't a new phenomenon and isn't specific to any particular device; the same thing happened with the previous model from another manufacturer (N.... what else?). The amount of milk it can froth is unbeatable; I haven't found any other device with a similar capacity. Not to mention the attractive design and the fact that the milk jug is dishwasher safe. The Lono also brings out the best in the milk's flavor—it tastes slightly sweeter and has a hint of cream. All in all, highly recommended; I've even given it as a gift several times.

Brilliant! Lono Milk & Chocolate Milk Frother
I'm absolutely thrilled. So far, I've frothed 1.5% milk and oat milk, as well as made hot chocolate. The milk foam is wonderfully stiff. The milk is warm to hot. The hot chocolate is hot, and the 20g of chocolate chips melted in no time. You're only supposed to use up to 34g of chocolate! My grandson will be delighted. Almond milk produces a very delicate foam, but even that stays firm for a long time. It's easy to clean and comes apart nicely. Nothing stuck to it, not even chocolate. You do have to plug it in and out, otherwise it stays in standby mode, which uses too much power. You don't need it on all the time anyway. It's larger than other devices. I would recommend it and would buy it again.

NONDURABLE
After almost 1 year of normal use, the plastic round part to froth the milk starts peeling off. So plastic parts are coming into the milk. Not durable.

Great device - produces a fine, creamy foam.
I've been using this device for two months and haven't experienced any burning. I use soy, oat, and cashew milk from various brands, and the resulting foam is fantastic – I couldn't achieve such results with my previous milk frother (a small, battery-operated handheld device). As for cleaning: it's dishwasher safe, what more could I ask for!

Not suitable for all M varieties
I'm thrilled with the high-quality materials, the size, and the range of functions, and would give it 5 stars. But that's not all that matters. The milk should be well frothed, which it unfortunately doesn't do with a substitute like almond milk. The first time I used it, the milk froth was acceptable, but after that, I was never able to achieve my dream of enjoying coffee with almond milk froth again. It's a real shame; I expected better from such an expensive appliance.

Burnt immediately
As others have already mentioned, the function and design are good, but the milk burned immediately and it couldn't be cleaned. This only happened in one spot, but it happened every time I used it.

Actually great, but...
This milk frother is fantastic in principle; it makes truly excellent milk foam that lasts a long time in the cup. I also really like the other functions, and the large capacity is something you don't find in other devices. But: Why does the milk burn? After just one use, the milk sticks to the pot in four places, and the next time, these four spots are burnt brown. After every use, you (or at least I) have to remove the stuck-on bits, otherwise, you have a lot of trouble cleaning them the second time you use it. In the store, I was assured that this doesn't happen with theirs—and I was able to verify this, as they use the Lono to make cappuccino for their customers. I've now tried all kinds of milk, even had the wattage measured—the problem persists. I'm quite annoyed about this extra effort of having to thoroughly clean the pot after every use and would like an explanation from the company, because the Lono is clearly not a cheap appliance.
