Unzufriedener WMF Stammkunde, on date
Each one broke down after 2 years.
We bought this kettle because of its design, as it matches our many other WMF products. This is our second one, but both broke down after about two years of normal use in a two-person household. This is clearly planned obsolescence. Now I'm going to take the time to complain to the retailer. Before that, though, I'll use a multimeter to find the cause of the defect, so they don't try to pull the wool over my eyes. I don't understand how a simple kettle can last such a short time. Before this one, I had a cheap one from the supermarket, and it lasted over ten years. Why should I pay a premium price for products from a German brand if the quality is so poor?

Good device, with a few minor points to note.
Heats up quickly, looks stylish, but you have to look closely to see the water level indicator... Everyone talks about the problem with the limescale filter... - simply dampen it with a descaler-moistened cloth and let it soak - clean!

Totally disappointed with WMF
We've already had two WMF kettles, and both broke down within a very short time. If I could give zero stars, I would.

No replacement limescale filter
I bought a brand-name product and thought I could buy a replacement limescale filter separately, but I was wrong and had to throw the product away. Very disappointing!

Good workmanship and design. The lack of temperature control at this high price is shameful. The worst part is the impossibility of obtaining a replacement filter. I have the part number and price: 61/3027/2170 €5.99. The only one in stock according to the inventory list! According to the WMF branch in Cologne, it was reserved for another customer (and this was a nationwide issue). They said it would be restocked in three months. This turned out to be a blatant and untrue claim. WMF once had a good reputation—but this customer deception is beyond belief.

No replacement limescale filter - just a money grab.
After barely 1.5 years, the limescale filter is broken, and there's actually no replacement for such a cheap item! Instead, customer service is recommending I buy a new appliance (with a goodwill discount), even though it's otherwise working perfectly! I'm considering forwarding this email to consumer protection agencies and various other online portals because of their environmentally questionable business practices! ALL BECAUSE OF A filter that comes with every new appliance!!!

WMF Stelio 1.2 l kettle
I bought the Stelio kettle because its design matches my WMF coffee machine. However, I'm very disappointed. The water level indicator is almost impossible to read while filling because it's behind the handle. The backlight is useless; the kettle has to be switched on to read it. It would be helpful to have an indicator inside as well. Furthermore, the outside of the kettle gets so hot you could almost burn yourself. The filling opening is also quite small.

It doesn't always have to be WMF!!!!
The Stelio 1.2L kettle's on/off switch is defective; a small PVC pin, approximately 1cm long and 2mm thick, has suddenly become too short after two years and no longer holds the on/off switch in place. Repair is only possible by replacing the entire automatic switch mechanism. Simply junk that nobody needs.

No replacement limescale filter
After about two years, the replacement limescale filter broke, and there are no replacement limescale filters available for this appliance. That means it's just going to be thrown away – electronic waste!
