Design flaw
I'm disappointed with the quality you get for a comparatively higher price from a premium manufacturer. How can you make such a mess of a seemingly simple product? After only three months of use, the lid no longer closes! Either they're using materials that can't withstand the hot steam, or there's a built-in weak point (planned obsolescence). The fact is: the small hooks that are supposed to lock the lid in place have lost their spring action and therefore no longer hold the lid down. A kettle from a supermarket, costing half the price, has lasted for ten years and has only become slightly unsightly. This was my last appliance from this company... Keep it up, WMF, this company philosophy is anything but sustainable!

WMF disappoints once again
No matter how much water you boil in the kettle, the lid, handle, and the kettle itself all get wet. A puddle also forms on the base and around the kettle. It's simply impractical and annoying. You have to clean half the kitchen every time you boil water. Unfortunately, I also bought a WMF coffee machine, and it's even worse. I'm absolutely disappointed and wouldn't buy another WMF product. Disappointed with the brand and the products! (As with the coffee machine, I'd prefer to give it zero stars, but unfortunately, the system doesn't allow it.)

Design isn't everything – take this kettle as an example. The puddle that forms when it boils over means you have to find a spot where the water can bubble out without causing damage. The steam condenses on the outside and leaves unsightly limescale deposits if you don't constantly wipe it dry. But it's a "brand name" product! You have to treat yourself sometimes, right? Besides, it's really very loud when you're standing next to it – absolutely not recommended. Not worth the money and not a practical help in the kitchen. I asked in the store and was told – "That doesn't happen to me, I always clean it."

hellish machine when in operation. Steam escapes from the lid/handle area, constantly damp. Never again.

Poor workmanship!
We bought a WMF Stelio 1.2L kettle for our new kitchen, but it's so poorly made that water starts leaking from the bottom after only a short time. Despite its attractive design, the combination of a plastic base and stainless steel doesn't result in good quality. What a shame!

Survived four years in my kitchen
Recently, my Stelio kettle broke after four years of daily use in a one-person household: the button for opening the lid snapped off and fell into the handle. Consequently, the lid could no longer be opened. At first, I was very disappointed. But a stainless steel kettle at this price simply doesn't exist on the market, so now I have my second Stelio and am happy with it again.
