The kettle is a nice and sturdy water heater. I hope it lasts me a long time.

very good, high-quality appliance. We've had the 1.2L Stelio kettle for three years and have never had a problem. The opening at the top is large enough. My hand (male, 16 cm wide) fits inside with the right technique, and you can easily remove the soft limescale with the sponge. We usually use a sponge on a handle and a liquid descaler, which is available here and removes everything in 10 minutes. Since we have very hard water in Ingolstadt, we also use a small filter. We've never had any problems.

A high-quality kettle at a reasonable price

The kettle heats the water very quickly.

Filling is only possible by estimation. Cleaning is nearly impossible. The limescale filter only works to a limited extent. Filling: - The illuminated scale is obviously not functional during filling, as there's no power. - But that doesn't matter, since you can't see the scale anyway, as it's hidden behind the hand holding the kettle. - Unfortunately, the fill level isn't visible from the top either, as the lid doesn't open wide enough. Cleaning: I could wipe out my old kettle and remove the soft limescale that way. That doesn't work here, as the opening is too small and the lid doesn't open completely :-( Limescale filter - difficult to insert, as the lid doesn't open wide enough (did I already mention that?) - limescale keeps getting through despite the filter. Sorry WMF, this appliance is really poorly made; I hope it's durable (despite everything). For the price, it should be.
