The lid won't stay on.
can only warn against this product! I bought three carafes a few months ago. The lids on all of them no longer stay on, and the drink spills out, lid and all, onto the table. I finally wanted to buy a quality product, but I was sorely mistaken!

Disappointing quality
I was able to use the carafe for a weekend until, after rinsing it during a minor impact, it chipped immediately and is now unusable. Aside from the beautiful chipped relief, I have nothing good to say about the carafe.

The lid won't stay closed! A complete design flaw! This shouldn't happen with WMF.
In the store, I already noticed on the display model that the lid didn't fit perfectly. The saleswoman managed to fix it somehow and said the lid was secure. At home, with the carafe I bought, I had the same problem as in the store. When the lid is dry, it stays on somewhat, but it still slips up a bit. When the lid is wet, which is inevitable if you're not just using the carafe for decoration but actually pouring water from it, the lid slips off, and you end up with water on the table instead of in your glass. If I could give zero stars, I would, but you have to give at least one... I do not recommend buying this. The carafe isn't even worth one cent.

I've been using the carafe for a few years now and I still really enjoy this beautiful water carafe. Everything works perfectly for me.

WMF carafe cap does not stay in place
The cap for the carafe does not sit in place. When its completely dry you can turn the cap after pushing it down, it will stay, however if you have water in it, it does not stay in place. Design Flaw in my opinion with so many people having the same problem.
