Tuning tips for the WMF Espresso Pro
Hello all WMF Espresso Pro users. It's actually quite easy to upgrade this fantastic machine with just a few simple parts! 1. Portafilter with wooden handle and compatible with all available baskets: NEOUZA 58 mm 3-ear portafilter, double spouts and pressureless basket, fits Barsetto, Breville, Sage, Oster, Sunbeam and more, 304 stainless steel. Regular price €22. This also makes all other available baskets with a curved rim compatible, e.g., IMS Competition baskets. The portafilter is very high quality. 2. IMS precision shower screen | ø 56.4 mm | SI200IM or SI200NT (Nanotech, which is the one I bought) | for Nuova Simonelli - Victoria Arduino €20-30. This shower screen has exactly the same dimensions and fits perfectly! Have fun with the upgrade. Best regards, Andreas

The water tank was damaged.
Unfortunately, there was no visible damage to the packaging upon unpacking. The machine itself is fine, but the plastic water tank is cracked at the top left corner. This is likely a problem in the internal assembly process and quality control, as the glass lid is also undamaged. The hotline couldn't send a replacement tank because the machine is too new. I would have to return the entire machine, even though I bought it in the store. This is very disappointing for a €1000 machine. The store packaged the machine very well, and there was no visible damage to the packaging. After calling the store, a replacement water tank will be sent to me without any fuss. Many thanks to the store team! After adjusting the machine and testing the espresso, I'm thrilled. The very solid workmanship of the included parts makes drinking coffee a true pleasure. If it weren't for the assembly issues, I would give it 5 stars. Best regards, the espresso enthusiast

Top machine at a top price!!!
top-notch machine at a great price!!! Having already gained experience with portafilter machines as a student, and knowing that nothing else will do for a good espresso, I ended up using a Jura Z8/Z10 fully automatic machine during my professional life due to time constraints. Which is quite nice, especially when you have guests who all want something different to drink. My wife and I, however, only drink espresso, cappuccino, and flat white, so I needed a portafilter machine again. After a lot of research, I stumbled upon the WMF Espresso Pro by chance. Until then, I only knew WMF from my pots, pans, and cutlery, and from my hometown of Geislingen an der Steige, where we always went to the factory to buy things. WMF—not at all Italian?! Is that even possible? Absolutely!!! The WMF doesn't need to hide from the many Italian brands. Great design, compact, high-quality workmanship, and finally, no chrome or stainless steel that you have to polish for hours. And all this at an unbeatable price compared to the competition in this segment. The combination of portafilter and grinder saves space, and the integrated scale is reliable, as confirmed by my measurements with an espresso scale. The deviation is a maximum of 0.5-1g. Now that I've finally taken a barista course, I can adjust everything precisely, which is a lot of fun. Everything is finely adjustable, making a perfect espresso a breeze with a little practice. I just need to practice latte art a bit more ;-). The two separate thermoblocks heat up extremely quickly, so there's no waiting time for the next shot! The temperature remains exactly constant at 94°C without any fluctuations. The milk frother has plenty of power. The same goes for the espresso volume. This allows you to perfectly set a 1:2 or 1:2.5 ratio. And sure, a portafilter machine requires practice and experience—but that's what we as hobby baristas want, right?! The WMF videos make getting started easy. Cleaning is perfect and simple. And with the included accessories, you can get started right away! In my opinion, this is a great machine for beginners who finally want to drink good espresso like in a café, and for professionals who are looking for a compact portafilter machine with an integrated grinder for home use without getting lost in the technical details. Thank you WMF for this great machine!!!

Great device for a good café
It looks very classy; for those who have never had an espresso machine before, it's a bit of a learning process. Once you figure out the pressure, which coffee to use, how much water, etc., the coffee tastes really great.

Perfect espresso now also in my kitchen
I'm really quite impressed with the WMF Espresso Pro. It made a high-quality impression right from the moment I unpacked it, and once I set it up, I don't want to let it go. The overall robustness is particularly noteworthy, as is the glass touch panel, and my personal favorite: the water tank cover! It's nice and heavy, and made of glass on top, which I haven't seen on other machines. I also find it very easy to use. Once you've tried it out, you immediately feel at home and don't have to think about it for long. The button layout makes perfect sense, and I found the WMF videos beforehand really helpful. They gave me a quick overview, which was invaluable for getting started! I especially love the integrated scale. It means you always know exactly how much coffee grounds you're using, resulting in a much more consistent brew. The many grind settings are also a real plus. You can experiment wonderfully, and that's precisely what I find so appealing! It almost feels like a toy for grown-ups. I can change the amount of coffee here, the grind there, adjust the flow rate, and so on. It's simply a joy to keep track of everything and maintain control. I'm still amazed at how even the smallest changes to the various parameters can affect the coffee – a difference you can actually taste. Just wow! The espresso itself is top-notch and exactly how I like it: strong, aromatic, with a beautiful crema. My only slight reservation is about cleaning. While it's not rocket science, as a beginner, I would have appreciated a bit more guidance in the introductory videos or more detailed information in the user manual. All in all, it's a machine that not only makes fantastic espresso but is also a real pleasure to use. Compared to fully automatic machines, I love being able to make my espresso with just a few simple steps, like a morning ritual. Even after weeks of use, I still have that "café feeling" in my kitchen, which shows me how worthwhile this machine has been for me. I'm completely satisfied and have already recommended it to others.

Delicious coffee without the guilt
The WMF Espresso Pro is my first espresso machine, and it took a little while to get used to it at first. But thanks to the detailed videos, I'm now very comfortable using it. I think it's fantastic that it has an integrated scale, so you don't have to guess whether you've used enough coffee. After all, you wouldn't want to have an external scale standing next to you all the time. The huge selection of grind settings leaves nothing to be desired, and you can make your espresso exactly the way you like it. It also has significantly less acidity, which is much better for my stomach. I drink over 10 cups a day, and I've now taken the espresso machine to the office because I kept getting stomach problems from the fully automatic machine there. I didn't appreciate the anti-static technology at first until I saw what it's like when a friend of mine, who also has an espresso machine, does without it. Since I love all kinds of coffee and milk combinations, I'm very impressed with the dual heating circuits. On one side, the hot espresso flows into the cup, and on the other, I can simultaneously froth the milk. Simply wonderful. The intuitive glass touchscreen is clearly laid out and works flawlessly. The large water tank is another highlight, especially given my coffee consumption, and visually, it's an absolute eye-catcher and a real highlight in any kitchen. I can wholeheartedly recommend this portafilter machine. Taste, appearance, and ease of use are all top-notch!

Delicious
I bought the WMF Espresso Pro last week and I'm very happy with my first impression. It's very well-made, using high-quality materials. The WMF Espresso Pro offers a wide range of adjustments. Thanks to its very fine grinder, you can grind the espresso from very fine to coarse, and it even has a built-in scale for measuring the ground coffee. Since I'm an espresso beginner, it's a little tricky to precisely adjust the grind, temperature, and other factors (due to its numerous settings). However, I'm getting closer and closer to the perfect espresso. It's already incredibly creamy and incomparable to what I've made with other espresso machines. So I can highly recommend this portafilter machine to anyone who's willing to spend a bit more.

Good barista machine
good, no-frills barista machine with all the necessary functions, a very attractive and understated design, and a high-quality glass display in a premium steel housing (no plastic!). We also appreciate the large water tank and the machine's substantial weight (preventing any slippage when inserting the portafilter). The only drawback is that the scale is sometimes slightly inaccurate. We were choosing between two machines from Sage and the WMF – in our opinion, the right choice!

Good espresso, but weak scales
I've been using the WMF Espresso Pro for a few weeks now and am very satisfied overall. Even when unpacking it, I was surprised by how high-quality and elegant it looks. The glass touch panel makes it incredibly easy to use, and I quickly got the hang of it. The espresso tastes really good and has a lovely crema. The milk froth is the absolute highlight for me – beautifully creamy and perfect for cappuccino. However, what bothers me a bit is the integrated scale. While it's a practical idea, it's unfortunately often inaccurate, so the amount varies. This makes it more difficult to achieve the perfect espresso. On the plus side, I appreciate the many grind settings; you can experiment a lot and find your favorite flavor. Cleaning is quick and easy. Overall, it's a fantastic machine that has taken my coffee enjoyment at home to a whole new level.

Great coffee experience
I'd wanted an espresso machine for so long, and finally, the time had come. The WMF Espresso Pro offers everything in one machine. Plus, it looks absolutely fantastic! At first, I was unsure if I'd be able to use it right away. But after watching all the YouTube videos, I was able to adjust everything easily and immediately brew a really delicious coffee. The integrated scale is simply brilliant. It's easy to use, and you can customize everything to your liking. You can grind the beans coarser or finer. I definitely want to take a barista course now so I can create the perfect milk foam. I wouldn't want to be without this machine.
