I'm sorry that some people are writing ********* here. I mean those who don't read the instructions and then probably try to cook an egg in the appliance using an egg cup. Large eggs fit perfectly in the appliance, and with the right amount of water, I have a super soft-boiled egg in 10 minutes. I agree with all the other positive reviews. Again, the appliance is great, it just gets a little hot on the outside.

The lid doesn't close or cover properly...because an egg is too big. A complete design flaw!

Egg cooker for one egg
The egg cooker is great. If you only want to cook one egg, its low wattage saves energy compared to larger egg cookers. The egg comes out perfectly cooked every time. The only downside is that the measuring cup is difficult to read. This should be improved.

Works great. All egg sizes fit. You have to experiment a bit to find the right amount of water for cooking to get the perfect hardness. I need less water than recommended for a hard-boiled egg. It takes about 10 minutes to cook a medium-sized hard-boiled egg. It sits very securely on the countertop and doesn't slip. I would definitely buy it again.

The frequency of the tweezers remained too high.
Unfortunately, older people have difficulty hearing the high-pitched beeping sound, or can't hear it at all. Also, the dog starts whining. This needs to be changed, otherwise the device will do what it's supposed to.

Unique!
Of course, you can only cook one egg at a time with this egg cooker; that's the whole point. That's why I don't quite understand comments like "pointless"... It's very well made, looks stylish, and makes a nice little statement in the kitchen. Cooking is also relatively easy: you can adjust the cooking time (also to the size of the egg) by changing the amount of water. It takes a little getting used to at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's perfect!

As of April 9, 2018: Never been 80 and single, huh? After receiving a gift, it's worth preparing everything again for a single boiled egg. And not having to clean the six-egg cooker for just one egg.
