EGG KIMIS 1-EGG COOKER

bought this egg cooker a while ago at a WMF store in Hamburg. I'm single and one or two eggs are enough for me for breakfast, so this egg cooker is perfect for me. The My Egg single-egg cooker is much more energy-efficient than boiling eggs in a pot. My only slight complaint is that it could be a bit faster. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it; it also has a great design and comes with nice accessories.

As a camper, purchasing this small 55W appliance seemed extremely sensible. Since the egg cooker unfortunately can't be operated with 12V, a voltage converter with at least 200W continuous power is necessary. Or so I thought... The egg cooker requires a pure sine wave. With a modified sine wave, it unfortunately only works with mains power from a standard household outlet or an expensive 12V converter. What a shame.

The alarm rings very early. I get up, walk past the kitchen counter on my way to the bathroom, and press the button on my little WMF egg cooker. I fill it the night before and just switch it on in the morning. Then I turn on the coffee machine and head to the bathroom. When I come out, the beep sounds – "Egg is ready." The smell of coffee fills the air, I spread some butter on my whole-wheat bread, and enjoy a perfectly cooked egg. Whether it's a small or a large egg, it all fits perfectly in the cooker. It was self-explanatory for me. Take the egg cup out of the appliance. Plug it in, add water to the measuring cup (according to the desired hardness, from soft to hard), then pour it into the egg cooker's water reservoir. Place the egg in the holder/ring, put the lid on, and switch it on. When it beeps, the egg is done. It's important to position all the components correctly so that the steam can build up properly and get hot enough. I love this little thing.

My egg cooker didn't work either. After just a few seconds, the device beeped, and the egg was still cold. As far as I know, egg cookers only beep when the water runs out. That's not the case with this one. Since others have had the same problem, I'm returning the egg cooker. Advertising isn't everything.

I'm very happy with this product. I can easily use it with size L eggs. However, it should be clear to every user that the egg cup is for the cooked egg and must be removed from the egg cooker before cooking. For me, the cooker is self-explanatory; I didn't need any instructions from the internet. The beeping was perfectly audible. Only the color of the measuring cup needs to be reconsidered: black would be more practical.

The signal tone is extremely quiet. It only beeps. Despite several attempts, I couldn't cook the desired soft-boiled egg.

used the device yesterday. The large egg was cooked exactly as desired, but I was surprised that there was still no signal after 20 minutes, so I switched it off manually. There was a brownish residue in the water reservoir, but it was very easy to remove. Conclusion: I think over 20 minutes is too long for a hard-boiled egg...

My WMF KÜCHENminis My Egg single-egg cooker meets all my expectations. I haven't yet found a large egg that doesn't fit. However, the egg must be placed in the egg insert, not the egg cup. If you choose the correct amount of water, the egg cooks perfectly. The only minor drawbacks are that the water supply hose could be more flexible and the water level markings on the measuring cup could be black.

I'm very happy with the appliance. Before, cooking a boiled egg seemed like too much trouble. But now I enjoy the simple and hassle-free preparation. While I set the table and make the coffee, the egg cooks, and then I can enjoy a leisurely breakfast. I usually use a large egg, and it fits in the cooker without any problems. It's just a shame that you have to download the detailed instruction manual from the internet.
