Unusually poor functionality
The design and materials are very nice, high-quality, and well-made (except perhaps for the plastic parts, we can't judge that yet). However, the functionality is very poor. A salad spinner should primarily spin salad, which ours hasn't been doing very well so far. We miss our old, now-discarded 20-year-old pull-string salad spinner from Tchibo; at least that one worked. A huge disappointment for almost €100!!!! :( :( :(

High quality except for the plastic
The plastic cover was very difficult to put on upon delivery, and after cleaning it in the dishwasher, the plastic warped. This doesn't match the otherwise high-quality impression of the product.

Elegant piece
The design is elegant, the handling is simple, however the bowl is very slippery when used on the work surface and the lid cannot be taken apart for cleaning.

WMF manages to make something special out of an everyday object like a salt shaker. The bowl can also be used directly as a salad bowl.

Drive failed
I agree with the criticism: The plastic parts are not dishwasher safe, they warp, and after frequent cleaning, the drive gear no longer stays securely in the lid, so you can't spin it anymore. There are no spare parts available, which is completely unacceptable at this price. The spin dryer is now just expensive junk.

Not dishwasher safe
The salad spinner is advertised as dishwasher safe. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The lid warped so badly in the dishwasher that it's unusable. When I contacted customer service, I was also informed that the lid is only dishwasher safe up to 40°C. Unfortunately, this isn't mentioned anywhere. It's not possible to buy a replacement lid. I'm very annoyed about this and also about the unfriendly response from customer service. I would not recommend this product!
