The device is good, however...
My old Koenig egg cooker from Media Markt is exactly the same design, except the lid on the WMF is a metal bell. I had the Koenig for at least 10 years, and now two feet on the egg holder have broken off. I thought I'd treat myself to an expensive WMF appliance now!

It's worth it, a total convenience even for something as simple as boiling eggs. It's much faster and easier. You don't have to wait for water to boil like with stovetops, and the maintenance is zero. You have boiled eggs in literally 5 minutes. I recommend it!

Good design, easy to use
To complement our Stelio toaster, we now have the Stelio egg cooker. It takes a few tries to get the cooking precise, but then it works perfectly. It makes a pleasant "done" sound, similar to an electric car reversing.

In my opinion, this egg cooker doesn't even come close to meeting WMF standards. The adjustment knob has play and therefore can't be set precisely. The hardness of the eggs is more a matter of luck. Our old egg cooker from Aldi, which cost €7, was more precise in its cooking results. Visually, the WMF egg cooker certainly looks better than the one from Aldi. Unfortunately, appearance is its only advantage, which is a shame considering the price.

This egg cooker has several flaws. It doesn't work properly; it's just a mess because it splatters everywhere, leaves stains, and the eggs don't cook as intended. It's outrageous for the price. A standard egg cooker does a better job and doesn't cost nearly as much. I advise against buying it.
