The Basic water carafe is great!
I've been using it for years, every day, and it's been absolutely no problem. I don't understand the other reviews.

The lid is coming apart!
My lid stays on very well and has never fallen off or anything. However, the black silicone seal is now slowly disintegrating. The sealing strips (black) are crumbling into the carafe and are then being poured out. Can anyone confirm this?

The lid problem can be solved!
The carafe is beautiful and cleverly designed, but I have to agree with the other reviews – the lid keeps slipping up. It always stayed on when I poured, but it looked awful. Since I didn't want to return the carafe (because otherwise I really like it), I carefully trimmed the two bottom sealing rings a little with nail scissors, and now the lid fits perfectly and stays put even when pouring. I highly recommend it!

You can open it, but you can't close it again, or rather, you need a lot of luck to manage it.

Like with many others... the lid is no longer on.
I used it 2-3 times and put the lid in the dishwasher at 40°C. Since then, it doesn't fit properly and keeps falling off. I will definitely return it.

The cap
The cap does not stay in place.It does not sit well,slips up and falls off while pouring.Very embarrassing when guests are using this.

Beautiful carafe, but the lid doesn't stay on.
It's a really beautiful carafe with a well-designed pouring mechanism. If only the lid stayed on. Unfortunately, it doesn't. So you're better off holding it down or leaving it off altogether. What a shame! Other manufacturers do this better at lower prices.

Quality not convincing
We've had the carafes for three months now, and the silicone stoppers already fall out when pouring. That's a real shame because the system itself is good.
