WMF Perfection 890L Fully Automatic Coffee Machine

I am absolutely thrilled with the fully automatic coffee machine

I am very satisfied with the quality, application, and preparation.

Great fully automatic coffee machine, both visually and technically, and the coffee is superb.

The machine runs very well and is fast, high quality, producing perfect crema or milk foam for café crème, latte or cappuccino.

Thanks to the 20% discount on Black Friday, we spontaneously bought the 890L. We had been looking at different machines for six months, and the WMF was one of our favorites. Setting it up was very easy. The coffee tastes great, but we still need time to find the perfect bean and the perfect settings. Visually, the machine is a real eye-catcher.

Initially, we were very impressed with the machine. It still makes solid coffee. Even after six months, there's nothing to complain about there. However, there are simply a few areas where the machine falls short of expectations (and the competition), and these shortcomings are unacceptable at a price of €2,000. Many of these issues only become apparent after extended use. For example, after a certain period, the machine simply rinses the coffee grounds without warning if it isn't removed quickly enough, instead of reminding you with a beep or light pulse and/or postponing the rinsing process until the next time it's switched on. Another example: If the coffee grounds container is full, the machine insists that it be emptied BEFORE rinsing. This requires removing the milk hose, as it blocks the container's removal, unnecessarily smearing residual milk all over the machine. Then you have to reassemble it quickly because pushing the grounds container back in triggers the rinsing process before the hose can be reattached. All of this could be fixed with software updates. However, the machine (again, at that price!) doesn't have Wi-Fi and doesn't receive any updates, even from the service department. I specifically called the service hotline about this. Disappointing, WMF. You can do better!

I'm always delighted when I switch on my "new" coffee machine and the harmonious light shines through. The coffee is simply pure enjoyment.

Very easy to use; everything is displayed on the screen, making setup a breeze. A fantastic addition to the kitchen; I highly recommend this machine.
