First off: I'm absolutely thrilled with this fully automatic coffee machine. It arrived well-packaged with accessories like a water filter. Unpacking and initial setup were completely trouble-free. Having owned fully automatic machines before, I can draw a positive conclusion. The WMF 890L has a very high-quality look. The LED lighting looks fantastic and is truly beautiful. I might have liked to see another color option. A major advantage is definitely the water tank, which can be removed from the front for easy refilling. With my previous fully automatic machines, the water tank was always at the back, which I found very inconvenient. This one is a great solution. The selection of different coffee specialties is truly extensive, and the individual adjustment of size and intensity is excellent. The control panel is responsive and requires minimal pressure. The coffee is wonderfully creamy, though this can vary depending on the grind and coffee variety. My first drink was a latte macchiato. The milk froth is excellent and holds its shape well. The included milk container has a nice and functional design. Personally, I think it could have been a bit smaller, as milk tends to spoil more quickly in containers like this than in a carton. Cleaning after preparing a coffee/milk specialty is easy and is illustrated on the display. The machine is also quieter than my previous machines when it comes to grinding the beans or cleaning/rinsing. The stated amount of coffee is actually dispensed in ml (my previous machine dispensed significantly less coffee than the stated ml). The various profiles for saving individual coffee preferences are practical and frequently used. However, there is one small drawback: Behind the coffee/milk spout with the WMF logo is a milk unit for cleaning. This "logo cover" is magnetic. We've noticed a few times now that this cover has come loose while refilling the water or wiping down the machine, either in our hand or in the cup. This is a minor annoyance, but it's something we can live with considering the machine's performance and design. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this device. The price is reasonable considering the quality and performance.

I had to think about inserting the water filter for a moment, as an adapter is required for attachment. This adapter is, of course, included. A cleaning brush, descaler, the milk hose, and the milk jug are also included. We don't use the jug ourselves; we simply put the hose with the metal rod directly into a Tetra Pak. It's convenient that the water tank and grounds container can be removed from the front, but the milk hose gets in the way on the right. This means that every time you want to remove the container, you have to detach the hose first. That's something I don't like. I also miss having a holder to secure the hose with the metal rod. I remember that from my previous machine. The coffee tastes absolutely fantastic! From the very first sip, I was completely amazed at the difference in taste. The two machines I had before couldn't compare. The quality is truly excellent. I was initially disappointed with the milk foam and the temperature of the first few milk-based drinks. But somehow, the next day was better. The foam and temperature were perfect. You can adjust the ratio, temperature, strength, and size of all the drinks. Furthermore, you can create up to 16 user profiles, where everyone can save their favorite drinks. The profiles can be named and color-coded. I tried every drink, and the taste of each one was impressive. The machine is quick to set up, and the drinks are prepared in no time. With other machines, I'm used to water coming out the front during rinsing, which requires you to have something under the spout. That's not the case here. The brewing unit cleans itself fully automatically and is not manually removable. I hope that works properly. The noise level of the machine while grinding is perfectly acceptable. Overall, I can recommend the vending machine; I'm convinced. The taste definitely won me over.

The milk froth is also beautifully stable and finely creamy, and all without the need for any special barista milk. The included glass milk container is also very stylish. It fits perfectly in the refrigerator door, and I'm particularly pleased that it's made without plastic. We've already programmed four profiles with individual preferences. This allows everyone to set their eight favorite coffee or tea specialties in terms of coffee strength, temperature, and cup size. It's ideal for my sleepyheads in the morning! Another crucial factor in my purchase decision was ease of cleaning. And the WMF Perfection excels in this area as well: both the milk system and the grinder are cleaned automatically. The coffee quality is excellent; thanks to the various grind and temperature settings, you can brew a cup of coffee exactly to your liking. Of course, the aroma and taste depend not only on the machine but also on the coffee beans. If the components are of high quality, you can't go far wrong. The milk system comes with a milk container that's quite attractive and looks great next to the coffee machine. Whether you use the container or dip the tube directly into the carton of milk is a matter of personal preference. I don't always use the container, as I don't drink much coffee at home during the week. I quite liked the L. Macchiato. Next, the water filter is inserted into the water tank using the insertion aid and filled with water. The machine then rinses the water filter with water, preparing it for brewing. Add coffee beans to the rear container, and now everything is ready to make coffee. For a milk-based drink, attach the milk tube to the front of the machine and connect the metal rod to the tube. Then, place the tube in the milk and select your desired product. After brewing, you will be prompted to clean the milk tube. Almost everything works automatically. For multiple users of this fully automatic machine, up to 16 profiles with saved coffee products can be created. This allows everyone to save their personalized drink preferences. The machine alerts you when water or beans need refilling, or when the drip tray or grounds container needs emptying. To empty the drip tray, the lid must be removed and the water poured out. Unfortunately, the drip tray lid is so flimsy that removing it isn't ideal. The clips will inevitably break when removing the lid, and then it won't stay attached to the drip tray. This will certainly be an accessory that will need to be purchased separately. Our conclusion: the WMF Perfection 890l is a fantastic fully automatic coffee machine. The design is timeless and attractive, it's very easy and intuitive to use, and it makes delicious coffee, with or without milk. WMF should reconsider and perhaps redesign the drip tray. All in all, a great machine!
