WMF Perfection 680 Fully Automatic Coffee Machine

The item arrived damaged. Customer service is unresponsive. I waited over two months for a repair. It was supposedly new but shows signs of use.

Easy to use, great menu navigation and excellent coffee.

The WMF 680 is an absolute hit for us. Why? The coffee machine is incredibly easy to use, innovative in terms of hygiene, and the delicious specialty coffees we can prepare with it make every day a real treat and the best gift we could have given ourselves. The design also won us over when we bought it.

Great fully automatic coffee machine; we previously had one from the 800 series. This one is a bit different, and it takes some getting used to. While the milk and milk foam were only lukewarm with the 800 series, they're hot with the 680. The coffee isn't bitter for us, regardless of the size. I think the grind and pre-infusion time are crucial. We use grind setting 3 and a 2-second pre-infusion time. Admittedly, the XL amount is a bit smaller than with the 800 series, but you can get used to that. And of course, it depends on the type of beans you use. We only use beans from well-known brands. There is one drawback, though. It concerns the carafe function. You either leave the drip tray in and place a small carafe underneath, or you remove the drip tray cover completely and place a slightly larger carafe at a slight angle underneath. I can recommend the small WMF carafe for this. I can't recommend completely removing the drip tray, as the carafe function goes through several cycles and the water then runs out. I haven't tried the iced coffee yet, as I've only had it for five days and it takes some getting used to. But I'll only buy WMF coffee machines from now on, mainly because the brewing unit is self-cleaning.

I've never owned a fully automatic coffee machine that makes coffee of this quality. The foam is very thick. I'm very impressed!

Don't buy it!!! I bought it brand new and sent it in for repair after a month. It was supposedly repaired. However, the same problem persists with a "slight overheating" issue. I sent it in for repair again, and what arrived was supposedly a completely new, replaced machine... but what happened? The supposedly "new" machine is again showing an error, overheating badly, and there's a strong plastic smell everywhere! Same error, same problem. I can't even make coffee, just problems and stress. Customer service isn't helping, even though it's under warranty... Now the machine is completely unusable, and all this for only €900!! A real rip-off!!!!
