WMF Perfection 880L Fully Automatic Coffee Machine

We were thoroughly and pleasantly surprised; the coffee isn't bitter, it's nice and hot, and the milk froth works perfectly with alternative milks. The storage slots are really practical and offer plenty of space. The spout is a good height, so our travel mugs fit underneath.

After receiving excellent advice at the WMF store in Bonn, we purchased the WMF Perfection with conviction, a decision largely based on our experience with our previous WMF machine. We are absolutely thrilled with the display, which is reminiscent of a professional hotel coffee machine. The personalization options for individual coffee preferences are unparalleled. However, we are very spoiled by our WMF 1000 Pro, which brewed us the very best coffee for over 20 years with minimal maintenance. This machine was practically legendary, and the quality of the coffee it produced rivaled that of portafilter machines. We haven't yet found that same level of quality with the new machine, but we are researching optimal solutions. Specifically, we have the following suggestions: 1. Less splashing coffee dispensing; 2. A larger maximum fill volume than 180 ml; 3. A coffee strength of 4 beans is too weak; 4. Brewing breakfast coffee with constantly running water takes too long. You could also say "first-world problems" - we still mourn our old WMF coffee machine. Therefore, in this historical context, only three stars.

As others have already pointed out, empty the coffee waste container first and disconnect the milk hose.

So far I am completely satisfied and hope it stays that way.

Overall, it's a great machine. However, technically it's far from well-designed. If the milk system needs cleaning, the machine prioritizes emptying the coffee grounds container first, which has absolutely nothing to do with the milk system. Unless you trick the machine, you have to detach the milk hose and empty the container before you can use the machine again. The same applies to an empty water tank while a beverage is being dispensed. When dispensing two drinks, the tank can only be filled by removing the cup from under the spout. Once you replace the tank, the dispensing process resumes immediately without the slightest delay or confirmation. I wouldn't have expected these two issues at this price point. Otherwise, though, it's significantly better in taste and consistency than the competition.

Everything is easy to use and handle. Great machine, I would recommend it.

I am very satisfied with the machine because it produces wonderful coffee results and the milk foam is also divine.
